Born in a small Iowa town where everyone dug their own dinner out of the soil, Lisa learned early that fresh food, fresh air, and moving your body cures most ills.
She parlayed an Actuarial Science degree into a high-flying corporate career—then ditched the boardroom for a global walkabout that landed her teaching yoga to Dubai’s royal family.
Now, 58 years young and based in Asheville NC, she mixes evidence-based practices with just enough woo woo to help her clients spark lasting habit change.
She loves leafy green vegetables, her two rescue poodles, and believes it’s never too early, or too late, to think about aging healthily!Â

Beth Buffington

Born in Nebraska in a family with deep farming traditions, Beth learned early to value nature and savor the moments of today.
After studying art in college, she now shares her experiences to help others grow their creative voice and bring it into the world with confidence and joy through mindset, daily practice, and purpose-driven art.

How do I get there? The Horseshoe Farm is 15 minutes from Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), and easily accessible via car or rideshare.Â
Do I need a car? You do not need a car during the retreat. If you choose to drive, there is ample parking.
What if I need to cancel?Â
Retreat deposits/payments are non-refundable, however, if you’re unable to attend, your deposit may be transferred to another person. If we’re able to fill your space, a refund may be considered at the discretion of Sylva Solace.
